A traumatic death is often identified as a sudden, unexpected loss that an individual or family encounters. As many of these traumatic loss experiences often come with difficult circumstances, such as homicide, suicide, sudden illness, accidental death or a difficult death experience. It is not uncommon for people who have experienced a traumatic death to experience intense, pervasive and prolonged grief symptoms. This group will provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can sort through thoughts and feelings and gain insights and coping tools through education and resources that will be shared.
