Education

Community Hospice can provide education and continuing education opportunities to your staff on an annual basis. Please consider this information in planning your education schedule.

Available classes are listed in the brochure. One class is approved for one contact hour through the Ohio Nurses Association. All courses are approved for 1 CEU hour through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Classes are appropriate for nurses, social workers, aides and others who may benefit from the information provided.

If you are a facility that has not utilized our offerings in the past, Hospice Care and Coordination in the Facility: 101 is recommended before other classes are provided. It covers the revised Conditions of Participation specific to hospices that provide care to residents of an SNF/NF or ICF/MR. This course will assist in explaining the working relationships between hospice and your facility.

You may call the Community Hospice Learning Center at 330-343-7605 or 800-947-7284 to schedule. Also, please call if you have other educational needs that are not listed.
